“Hablon” – taken from Hiligaynon word “habol” meaning “to weave” refers to both the process of making the fabric and the finished products. Century old industry of loom-weaving passed thru generations. This polycotton hablon blouse fabric is handwoven with love by our women weavers from Iloilo, Philippines.
Weaving Culture unites people and communities by living tradition thru their colorful weaves. We will always take pride in promoting our hablon here in the United States and to the world. Supporting their livelihood and tradition is our way of lifting women and helping our community.
Our Amorsolo blouse is named after “Fernando Amorsolo” who was portraitist and painter of rural Philippine landscapes. We would like to honor the people who made an impact in filipino arts and culture.
